Come Up An Idea

Today we discussed why we use videos in school. Now it's your turn! By next week come up with an idea for your own teacher made video. Outline how you would envision it being explained in a video for your students. Check out the links below to help jump start your planning process.

Creating Video Projects

Videos are an excellent media to introduce to any class.  They provide visuals for the concepts that we teach in class that can make a subject come alive.  Creating video projects is an even better way for students to interact with each other and the content that they learn in class.  Throughout this course you will be creating two videos.  The first one is an instructional video that you will make for your students about a concept for your class.  The second one will be a team project in which I will take you through the process of leading a video project in your classroom.
The objective of the course is for you to leave class with something you can use in with your students and you will have the knowledge to use and create videos on your own!

Welcome to Creating Video Projects

After reading Richard Byrne's "Making Video's on the Web"  think about how you might incorporate video projects into your class.  His article explores the many possibilities for video projects and some of the websites available for creating videos WITHOUT using cameras and the tools available for editing videos and images online.   We won't get into that much in this class.  However, he offers valuable information and resources for finding images, sound, and places to display or find video.
Share below some of your ideas.  We will begin our next class with your responses.
